We have heard from our schools, and they are estimating an increase of 1,500 families that will not have a holiday meal without your help.

Our utmost priority is keeping our Elves, volunteers, and families safe.

 

As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, all of our decisions are based on the guidelines provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS). Like last year, we will be operating delivery day as a drive-thru service, and we are committed to providing a safe and festive experience for everyone involved in our program.

Becoming a Hamper Elf is as easy as three simple steps.

1. SIGN UP

Sign up to adopt a family in need. Choose your family size based on how much you are able to contribute. A small family costs about $130 in groceries, while an extra-large family is usually over $250. We also ask that you provide a small gift for each child in the family, worth up to $20. Our grocery list can help you decide the size of family you will make a difference for this holiday season.

2. CONFIRMATION

In the first week of December, you'll receive an email confirming the size and makeup of your assigned family. Please note that we cannot provide specific information such as names or sizes of clothing. Prior to Delivery Day, you will purchase groceries and gifts for your family's hamper based on our grocery list.

3. DELIVERY DAY

On Saturday, December 18th, come to the Expo Centre for our drive-thru experience! Here you will receive the turkey, roasting pan, fresh produce, and address(es) for your adopted families. Once these items have been loaded into your car by our Holiday Hamper volunteers, you will be on your way to deliver holiday joy!
